DIY picture canvas

You'll need:
a canvas (I used an 8x10 for the 8x10 photo that I had printed at the local photo place) ,
Mod Podge in satin sheen,
sponge paint brush,
scrapbook paper,
black paint,
kitchen sponge

Apply Mod Podge all over canvas and the sides with even strokes. Let it dry (about 30 minutes or so)

Apply Mod Podge to the sides, one at a time and apply scrapbook paper and smooth them down with finger or a towel/rag.
Then do the same with the picture. Be careful not to get the glue on top of the picture (use a towel to smooth it down too). Let it dry again.
After it's dry, apply the Mod Podge all over the sides and top of picture using smooth strokes that are neat. The glue with be white or cloudy, that's okay, it will dry clear :)

Apply the black paint to the edges to blend the scrapbook paper to the picture. I used a kitchen sponge with a blob of paint on a paper plate. Dab it in the paint and then on a clean surface BEFORE you apply to edges. It doesn't have to be perfect as you can see in my pictures, I went onto the picture a little for a cool effect :)

Mod Podge Away!!! & have fun!!!
